President:
George Ormsbee
Cal-Ore Communications

George Ormsbee is the Manager of Business Retention/Community relations for a local telephone company. Cal-Ore Telephone has been providing local phone and internet service for over 60 years to local communities around and for the Basin. After graduating from Henley High School, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Weber State in Utah. He relocated back to Klamath Falls with his wife and six children in 2008. He has been in sales and marketing for five years serving the Klamath business community. He also serves as Board Vice President of the local LeTip Chapter. Along with working in our community, George takes pride in giving back to our community. With his family by his side, they support such local events as March of Dimes Walk for Babies, Norma’s Challenge, and Relay for Life.


1st Vice President:
Richard A. Schuster JR, Capt, USAF
Commander, 173 Maintenance Operations Flight

Captain Richard Schuster is the Commander, 173rd Maintenance Operations Flight, Kingsley Field, Klamath Falls, Oregon.  He commands a flight of 26 airmen responsible for maintenance analysis, planning, control, resource management and support for

approximately 4700 annual flight hours, directly contributing to the 173rd Fighter Wing’s mission of training all Active Duty and Air National Guard F-15C pilots.

Captain Schuster started his service enlisting as an Avionics Technician in the United States Marine Corps in February 1992. His actions during Marine Combat Training (MCT), in 1993, led to a meritorious promotion. He then attended AVA1 course at NAS Memphis, TN. He attended AV-B school at MCAS Camp Pendleton for Huey and Cobra helicopters. He performed multiple roles in the USMC including Avionics, Quality Assurance Representative, Safety Manager, COMSEC Manager and Avionics COM/NAV and wire bundle repair formal instructor at multiple locations including MCAS Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms CA, El Centro CA, MCAS Futenma Okinawa Japan, Osan Air Base and during a WESTPAC on the USS New Orleans serving in seven different host nations in the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf. He separated from Active Duty in 1999 and worked for the Department of the Navy as a civilian contractor in support of the NAS Fallon Search and Rescue unit, and the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC, Top Gun) high-altitude helicopter troop insertion/extraction and rescue operations. He enlisted in the ORANG at Kingsley Field in December 2004, serving as an enlisted federal technician, AGR and DSG in AVFL, CCZ, and Command Post until the end of 2009. From late 2009 until late 2013, he was a civilian GSSO/Program Manager for the United States Air Force at Hill AFB while simultaneously serving as a DSG in Command Post, then as an OIC for the 173rd Maintenance Squadron. He has served as the 173rd Maintenance Operations Flight Commander since February 2014.

2nd Vice President:
Jennifer Scanlan

After spending four summers here, Jennifer moved to this region with her family in 2002 from the East Coast to join her family ranch.  She has a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and prior to moving to the West Coast worked in the hospitality and ski industries in Vermont.   Jennifer has an extensive background in Commercial Banking and Finance and currently works for D.A. Davidson as a Financial Advisor.   Jennifer is very active in her community, her volunteer activities include The Rotary Club of Klamath County, The Klamath Community Garden, Junior Achievement, Sky Lakes Medical Center Foundation BOD.  She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys riding horses with her daughter, skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, camping and hiking.

Janet Buckalew
Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union

Janet Buckalew is the VP Business Development at Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union. Janet grew up in Klamath Falls as her father was stationed at Kingsley Field Air Force Base.

After several moves, dad was preparing to retire.  When he asked his family where they wanted to settle down, unanimously, it was Klamath Falls.

She graduated from Mazama High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jon Buckalew.  She graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Janet has two grown children:  Heather and Steven.  She also has a grandson that is the apple of her eye, 4-year old Connor.  She loves Klamath County and wants to see our communities thrive.


Kim Buller
Basin Tire

Kim has been a Klamath Basin resident for most of her life, having graduated from Klamath Union High School. Years later, after starting a family, she graduated from OIT with a BS in Management with the Accounting Option. She has been an administrative assistant at Basin Tire for the last four years.

Kim has been involved with several volunteer opportunities: Malin volunteer fire fighter, Malin Community Park board, Relay for Life Committee, and Ford Leadership training.

She enjoys spending time with her large family, and her hobbies making jewelry, painting, and reading.


Dan Peterson
Oregon Tech

Dan Peterson is a faculty member in the Department of Communications at Oregon Tech. Dan has a Ph.D.in Organizational Communication from Ohio University as well as an M.A. in Mass Media Studies and a B.A.

in Public Relations, both from Brigham Young University. He teaches a variety of communication courses at Oregon Tech in the areas of organizational communication, leadership, public relations and public speaking, among others. Beyond teaching in the classroom, he enjoys consulting, training, and instructional design projects for nonprofit, for-profit, and government organizations. His current research interests are in organizational culture, small business development, and public speaking pedagogy. He is also involved in campus-wide governance and service.

Dan and his wife Cathy have four children. Since moving to Klamath Falls in 2007, they have developed a love for downtown Klamath Falls and are active in the community and City Schools. He enjoys gardening, traveling, cooking, music, and family.


Mika Blain
Blain Law, LLC

The owner of Blain Law, LLC, Mika focuses her practice in general civil litigation, water law, contract formation and dispute, administrative law, business transactions and litigations, foreclosures, estate planning, and probates. Mika serves as a court appointed arbitrator and a pro tempore judge for Klamath Falls City Municipal court.

Raised on a farm, Mika understands the complex needs of the agricultural community and is proud to serve on the Chamber.

Mika was born and raised in a farming family and graduated from Henley High School.  She received her A.A. from Oregon Institute of Technology, before transferring to Rutgers University in New Jersey.  After receiving her B.A. from Rutgers, Mika received her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law.

Mika also serves as the President of the Klamath Lake Land Trust and previously served as President of the Klamath County Bar Association. In her private time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Zach, and children, Sterling and Seneca.

Brian Gailey

Brian is the owner-operator of Brian Gailey Photography, a premier business and family portrait company. Brian is experienced in business and is full of the spirit of entrepreneurism. He has 10+ years of experience in operating his photography company and eight years of experience

as a marketing professional for one of the largest real estate firms in Southern Oregon. Brian is a graduate of Oregon Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Small Business Management and Marketing.

Brian was born and raised in Klamath Falls, and he and his family have long time ties to the Basin. He takes pride in the community, has a desire to help others, and helping to grow basin business.

Brian and his family enjoy giving back to the community they support: Crater Lake Century Bike Ride, Discover Klamath, Klamath County 4H, Klamath County Assoc. of Realtors, Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, KCEDA, Klamath County Museums, City & County School Districts, Klamath Falls City Police, Klamath Ice Sports, Klamath IDEA, Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank, Oregon Tech Athletics, Catalyze Klamath Falls, Ross Ragland Theater and Sky Lakes Medical Center.


Nikki Galpin
Amerititle

Nikki Galpin is currently in charge of Business Development for Amerititle. She is responsible for business development of the company and has a leadership role in many committees beneficial to the organization and community. Nikki has four years of experience as the business development liaison for Amerititle, but brings seven years of experience as a realtor to the table. She has an innate perception of the organization, its needs, and most importantly the needs of their customers.

Nikki grew up in California and has a deep, abiding love of the natural resources Klamath Falls has to offer. An avid golfer, she finds the many courses in and around the area to be a main source of entertainment during the summer months. She is happy to live in the same town as her daughter and son-in-law, who have a baby girl for Nikki to dote on.

Ms. Galpin serves on the Chamber of Commerce Ambassador’s team, and performs as member service coordinator for the Klamath County Association of Realtors. She is the Community Outreach liaison for KCAR,  and serves as the LeTip board membership chair, as well as serving on the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She also volunteers for the Allocation and Distribution center for the United Way.


Jenine Stuedli
Peoples Bank

Jenine Stuedli is currently a Branch Manager and Vice President for People’s Bank.  She is responsible for business development, client service delivery, leadership of the branch team and Small Business Construction Lending for Southern Oregon.

Jenine Stuedli has over 18 years of banking experience.  Mrs. Stuedli received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Portland and is a graduate of the Oregon Banker’s School.

Mrs. Stuedli serves on the Hospital Authority Board, City of Klamath Falls budget committee, been a member of the Oregon Banker’s Association, Oregon Entrepreneurial Forum, and a volunteer for the following organizations/events; Friends of the Children, United Way, Rotary, Rotary Scholarship Foundation, Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and board.  Also, an alumni of Leadership Klamath.

Courtney Shaw

Courtney is a second generation Real Estate Broker and has been licensed since 2013. Growing up in Klamath Falls and around real estate has given her a wide wealth of knowledge in regards to the area and in real estate.

She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Oregon University in 2006 and her Master’s degree from Argosy University in 2010. Both of these degrees have helped her make her Real Estate career a successful one and she is always striving to become more experienced and educated in her industry and her community.

Courtney lives in Klamath Falls and is a proud resident, involved in many community committees, volunteer positions and events. She feels that being committed to involvement in her community will  help Klamath Falls vastly in all sectors. She loves to be outdoors and enjoys all of the activities in all seasons that Klamath County has to offer. She loves her job and helping dreams find a home.

Pam Greene is co-owner of Amcom Tax and Accounting, Inc in Klamath Falls. She is an Enrolled Agent and Licensed Tax Consultant with over 10 years experience.

She is married to  local farmer, John Greene, and has two adult children. Pam specializes in Farm, Small Business and Individual Tax Prepartation and Consulting. She enjoys traveling, reading, kayaking and spending time with family and friends.
