Action Teams
Ambassadors
The Ambassadors is the longest standing and most active team in the Chamber. Co-chaired by Chris Brown and Robin Keady, the Ambassadors serve as the volunteer welcoming arm of the Chamber. The Ambassadors are also an integral part of the Greeters program. Greeters is open to Chamber members and is designed to provide an open forum for businesses to network together and share information about their business. The Ambassadors are hard at work on reaching out to Chamber Members, planning the Ambassador Convention to be hosted in Klamath Falls in 2009, and celebrating the many grand openings in the county with their 2 foot long ribbon cutting scissors.
Marketing and Community Image Action Team
This action team combined two former teams to create events that would promote the Chamber as well as our county and to engage in community image building projects. Jenine Stuedli chairs this group. The team is hard at work planning three major events for the Chamber this year: the 4th of July Street Fair and Parade, the Annual Putting Challenge, and the Snowflake Parade.
Business Advancement Action Team
This team also combined two former team promoting business recruitment and retention in Klamath County and the Chamber. The group is chaired by Becky Wilson of Practical Marketing. This team is highly energetic and working on finding new ways to let members and other businesses in the county about all of the many benefits available to them through the Chamber. This team is also planning a survey in cooperation with the Legislative Action Team to find out more about our members needs.
Legislative Action Team
This team works on behalf of our member businesses to make sure the Chamber of Commerce is remaining active and involved in legislative issues that face our businesses. The team helps the Chamber to coordinate legislative conference calls to Salem when the legislature is in session. They also help the Chamber Board of Directors by providing the educational tools necessary for the board to take positions on legislative issues on behalf of businesses. Soon the team will be working on a survey of our Member businesses to determine the current legislative issues affecting business today and how the Chamber can help support or oppose those issues. This group is led by Debra Gisrel.
