CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OPENS LEADERSHIP KLAMATH ENROLLMENT

Leadership Klamath 2009 begins September 18th, 2008. The Klamath County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 21st year of the program designed to prepare tomorrow's leaders today.
"The goal of Leadership Klamath is to promote quality community leadership in Klamath County," says Amanda Blodgett, Chamber Program Coordinator, "this goal is met by educating current and future leaders about how our community works as a whole."
The program consists of ten one-day sessions over ten months with each session focusing on a specific topic or industry such as: Tourism, Emergency Services, City and County Government, Education, the Judicial System and Economic Development. Leadership Klamath offers a tremendous opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge of the inner workings of Klamath County and network with potential business associates. Graduates of the program have consistently become involved in community activities and taken a leadership role in improving the quality of life in Klamath through public service.
"If you are interested in learning how our community really works Leadership Klamath is a great resource." says Charles Massie, Chamber Executive Director, he went on to add, "You will meet the movers and shakers, it is a great opportunity for business people, educators and anyone interested in community program development."
Applications are being accepted for the 2008-2009 session. Deadline for registration is September 10, 2008. The first session will be on Thursday, September 18, 2008 and continues the third Thursday of each month through June 2009. Lunch is included in the tuition and graduates receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the program. Klamath County Chamber of Commerce members get a $100 discount on their tuition to Leadership Klamath.
