June 6th, 2008
Harvest Ford is gearing up for its first annual Customer Appreciation Show 'N' Shine, to be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008. The event will help raise monies to benefit the Klamath Hospice "Camp Evergreen", and 100% of all proceeds obtained from entry fees will be given to the camp.
Entertainment and food for all patrons will be on hand, including free pony rides and an inflatable jump house for youngsters. The Relay For Life team from the Klamath Public Employees Federal Credit Union will also be holding a benefit car wash. To top the day off, a 20th anniversary, 1984 Ford Mustang GT limited edition will be raffled off at approximately 4pm.
The first annual Harvest Ford Customer Appreciation Show 'N' Shine is open to all makes and models and 3 trophies will be awarded to the vehicle with the "Best Paint", "Best Engine", and "Best In Show". Pre-registration is recommended. Entry forms may be obtained in the Harvest Ford showroom, 2833 Washburn Way. Set up will begin at 8am and the event will run from 11am - 4pm.
This year, "Camp Evergreen" will be held August 17-22, 2008 at the Box R Ranch. Each year, youth from the Klamath Basin that have been directly affected by loss are invited to participate in a grief counseling camp. The mission of Camp Evergreen is to provide young people from our community [the Klamath Basin] with the unique opportunity to grieve in a safe, supportive and understanding environment.
