Klamath Hospice opens new thrift store

On Monday, November 12, 2007, Treasures thrift store celebrated its grand re-opening at its new location 1229 E Main Street. The Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors joined Klamath Hospice employees and volunteers as they welcomed the first customers to the store. Treasures has continued to grow over the past several years thanks to increasing community support. The store has gently used or new merchandise including clothes, kitchen and vintage items, furniture, crafts, and its library of books. The store is known for its more than fifty friendly volunteers who keep the store running. Klamath Hospice is a non-profit agency and all proceeds from Treasures benefit the patients and their families, in addition to providing bereavement support to the community.

Shasta View Retirement Center Opens

The Chamber Ambassadors welcomed the Shasta View Retirement Center, at 151 N. Williams, to Klamath Falls on October 26th, 2007. The new center helps seniors remain independent by providing security, activities, meals and special amenities. For more information call 882-7009.

Office Depot

Klamath County Chamber Of Commerce Ambassador's take part in a Ribbon Cutting at the new Office Depot store at 2880 S. 6th St., Klamath Falls on October 18th 2007. Office Depot donated a total of $1500.00 to three local charities as part of their grand opening celebration. Checks for $500.00 were given to the Klamath Crisis Center, Klamath County Food Bank and Klamath Youth Development Center as well as 25 backpacks to be distributed to young people. The Chamber welcomes Office Depot as a new member and wishes them great success.

Sarah's Place

Klamath County Chamber Of Commerce Ambassador's hosted a Ribbon Cutting at Sarah's Place on the 18th of October to welcome her to the chamber family. The Grand Opening ribbon cutting was held at Sarah's Place, 2025 Washburn Way, Klamath Falls. Sarah's Place is a quaint little store that carries dolls, doll clothing, and a variety of other craft items. We welcome Sarah's Place to the Chamber as a new member and wish her well in this exciting business venture.
