April 2007

The Klamath County Chamber of Commerce announced that it has hired a new Executive Director. Ronald L Campbell, who returned to Klamath Falls last year after 20 years of corporate work in the Bay Area, will begin his duties at the Chamber starting the first week of June.

Campbell replaces Stephanie Bailey who stepped down in February after nearly a decade of service.

Campbell is an OIT graduate and was selected form a group of 20 candidates. He was distinguished for his excellent communication skills, strong partnership philosophy and demonstrated ability to handle all the details of policies and procedures, budgets and record-keeping.

He worked for 8 years as manager of corporate Human Resources for Blue Shield of California and Vice President of California Federal Bank. He also worked in management positions at Air Products & Chemicals and with Orient Overseas Container Lines, Inc. He and his wife Donna relocated to Klamath Falls last year.

"My time at OIT and the past year in Klamath Falls have given me a great appreciation for this area," he said. "The Chamber position gives me an opportunity to fully use my talents while giving me a chance to explore new challenges and contribute to our wonderful community."
