BOLI Finalizes New Meal and Rest Period Rules
The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) has finalized new meal and rest
period rules that are to take effect immediately. The new rule does make some slight
changes, but stops far short of the drastic changes that were first proposed by
BOLI.

Thunder Over The Basin!
Klamath Air Show 2008 presented by Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union and
organized by the Klamath County Chamber of Commerce flew in to Klamath on June 21st.
The event was the first air show in Klamath County since 2000 and featured aerial
performances by the USAF Thunderbirds, John Klatt, Bill Stein, Kent Pietsch, Tim Decker
and David Erickson. Paid attendance was nearly 13,000 and close to 20,000 people
watched the show from the Klamath Falls Airport event site.

first anniversary this month. Downtown's first Third Thursday event on June 19 will
kick off three days of food, fun, contests, and entertainment.

When New Orleans graphic designer, Christy Soto met Klamath Falls designer, Mike

eleven clients later, the comment resonates. After reuniting with long time friend,

Microtel Inn & Suites - Klamath Falls, adjacent to the Epicenter Bowling
Complex, opened on May 23, 2008. Guests are being graciously welcomed on the first and

Harvest Ford is gearing up for it's first annual Customer Appreciation Show 'N'
Shine to be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008. The event will help raise monies to
benefit the Klamath Hospice "Camp Evergreen", and 100% of all proceeds obtained from
entry fees will be given to the camp.

A Klamath Falls-based agricultural association has been asked to assist water
users, tribes, and government agencies seeking to craft a solution to an important
Montana water project desperately in need of rehabilitation. Dan Keppen, Executive
Director of the Family Farm Alliance, recently visited Montana, met with Governor
Brian Schweitzer and local water interests, and toured an aging federal water
project that supplies water to farmers, ranchers and municipalities in the Milk
River Basin, on the U.S.-Canada border.

Governor Ted Kulongoski commented at a recent Small Business Council meeting
in Salem that TEAM Klamath was “the model” for economic development in
the state of Oregon. And when Congressman Greg Walden received a frantic message
from the owner of ECS, Dennis Becklin, he and his staff immediately directed the
company to TEAM Klamath.
