Watch thousands of streaming movies with your library card!

Downtown Klamath County Library

Klamath County libraries have added a new service to your library card! Starting January 1st, you’ll be able to access more than 30,000 films for free through online streaming service Kanopy.

Each library card gets four “checkouts” on Kanopy per month, and once you start streaming a title, you can watch it for three days. (You can replay the title as many times as you want during that three-day time period.) Your four available credits reset at the first of each month.

Kanopy specializes in independent and hard-to-find-on-DVD documentaries and films from around the world, including hits like the Oscar-nominated I Am Not Your Negro, Memento, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Donnie Darko, the Swedish version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the silent classic Nosferatu, and more, with hundreds of new films added each month.

Kanopy also has apps on the Apple app store, the Google Play store, Roku streaming devices and Apple TV, bringing you streaming movies on your TVs and mobile devices wherever you are.

To get started, head to klamathlibrary.kanopystreaming.com! You’ll need your library barcode number and the password that you use to log into your catalog account to get started – if you don’t have a password associated with your card number (or you’ve forgotten what it is), stop by the library with a photo ID and we’ll reset it for you.

For more information, call 541-882-8894 or stop by the downtown library’s Information & Reference desk.
