The downtown Klamath County Library regrets to inform you that you really shouldn’t read the following press release. We have events planned on Wednesday afternoons that are extremely unpleasant. Dreadful, really. However, if you’re a fan of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, you might want to stick around.

But don’t say we didn’t warn you.

  •       Wednesday, May 3rd: The Bad Beginning Enter the world of the Baudelaire siblings with these life-sized board games.
  •       Wednesday, May 10th: The Austere Academy Show off the depths of your A Series of Unfortunate Events fandom at this trivia contest!
  •       Wednesday, May 17th: The Carnivorous Carnival You’ll have to survive our obstacle course to escape this dangerous circus show!
  •       Wednesday, May 24th: Escape Count Olaf! The mysterious Count Olaf has only the worst intentions for the Baudelaire children. Can you get away from this horrible guardian?
  •       Wednesday, May 31st at 3:30pm: Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events Screening We’re screening the 2004 film adaptation of the series to wrap up the month of activities! The film is rated PG and runs for one hour, 48 minutes.

For all events except the film screening, youth ages 12 and under will start at 3:30 pm; teens 13 to 18 get going at 4:30 pm. No registration is necessary. For more information, please visit the Youth Services desk at the downtown library or call 541-882-8894.
