Share your cancer treatment story at the Klamath County Library
Tuesday, August 7th at 1pm and 6 pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
The downtown Klamath County Library and the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute are hosting a focus group for cancer survivors on Tuesday, August 7th. There will be two sessions of the event: one at 1 pm and in the evening at 6 pm.
Community health educator Deb Howes wants to hear about your cancer treatment. What went well? What could have gone better? What treatments did you receive, and how well (or not) did they help? This focus group information will help medical providers around the state improve cancer treatment for folks like you throughout Oregon.
Howes plans, conducts and assesses education, prevention and outreach programs with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and OHSU Knight Cancer Institute’s research, specializing in rural communities. She is a strong and natural advocate for survivors and champions the implementation of survivorship care plans in rural communities like the Klamath Basin.
