Model railroad show opens Saturday at Museum
Extensive model railroads layouts will be displayed in a show that opens Saturday, July 6, for a two-week run at the Klamath County Museum.
The model train show is presented by the Klamath Rails model railroad club. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Entry to the train show is included with regular museum admission, which is $5 for adults, $4 for teenagers and seniors, and free for children 12 and under.
“Hundreds of feet of train track will be laid out in displays that include miniature roads, towns and landscapes,” said museum manager Todd Kepple. “We always look forward to having the train club’s portable apparatus for a couple of weeks every summer.”
Members of the Klamath Rails club will have four types of model trains on display, including N, O, HO and G scale.
A replica of the Linkville Trolley will be displayed in front of the museum during the train show. The replica, built in the late 1980s, represents a horse-drawn trolley that operated in Klamath Falls from 1907 to 1910.
