Make some art for a cool cause (and cool prizes) with the Klamath County Library
Design Planning: Thursday, April 19th 3:30pm
Decorating: Friday, April 20th 3:30pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
The downtown Klamath County Library is sponsoring a team for the Great Outdoor Alliance’s sidewalk storm drain art contest!
If you’re a teen 12 to 18 years old who knows your way around some art supplies (or you’re just willing to give it your best shot), join us Friday, April 20th at 3:30 pm to decorate a storm drain! Cool pieces of art from all over the community will remind us to be careful with trash and pollution around storm drains, since they drain directly to bodies of water. (We’re fans of clean water around these parts.)
No registration needed; just meet up at the library on Friday and we’ll head over to our team’s designated drain on 3rd Street to get our art on. (If you want to help us plan out our design, meet up at the library on Thursday, April 19th at 3:30 pm.)
The decorated drains will be judged and on display during the Great Outdoor Alliance’s Sustainapalooza event on Saturday, April 21st, which will host a variety of activities and games from 10 am to 4 pm at Sugarman’s Corner at 6th Street and Main. The coolest-looking storm drains will win sweet prizes!

If you’re an adult who wants to sponsor your own team, email firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, April 6th.
