Listen to diverse perspectives at the Klamath County Library
Thursday, June 7th at 6:30pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
There’s a lot going on that makes the world feel more divided than ever before. The Klamath County Library is starting a new monthly event that attempts to tackle tough topics by gathering diverse perspectives. The Listening Group meets on the first Thursday of every other month at 6:30 pm. Our next gathering is on Thursday, June 7th.
This is a group for people of diverse viewpoints. Participants are invited to share their perspectives on hot button topics while also listening to the perspectives of others. This isn’t debate club – the group will share their feelings about questions posed to the whole group, not fight with or comment on other member’s opinions. The goal of the group is to understand others’ opinions and views – and reflect on previously un-examined biases and other preconceived notions.
Let’s foster a culture of peace – together!
The Listening Group is open to all ages and backgrounds. However, some topics may occasionally be inappropriate for younger audiences.
