Tuesday, August 8th 5:30pm
Downtown Klamath County Library

The downtown Klamath County Library will screen the Estonian World War II drama 1944 on Tuesday, August 8th at 5:30 pm.

It’s the summer of 1944, and the Battle of Tannenberg Line rages through the small Baltic nation of Estonia. Trapped between the two World War II superpowers of Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany, young Estonian men end up fighting for both sides. Some hope the war will lead to independence and a better future for Estonia – others just try to survive. As countryman battles countryman, there are few good choices…

1944 is UNRATED, in Estonian, Russian and German with English subtitles, and runs for one hour, 40 minutes. No registration is necessary. For more information, please call 541-882-8894.
