Klamath County Library screening The Third Murder at Foreign Film Night
Tuesday, April 9th 5:30pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
The downtown Klamath County Library will screen the Japanese legal thriller The Third Murder on Tuesday, April 9th at 5:30 pm.
Attorney Tomoaki Shigemori is set to defend Misumi, a man who has confessed to killing his boss. He did it for the money to pay off gambling debts, he says. But something about Misumi’s claimed motive doesn’t add up for Shigemori. And the why of the killing is important: under Japanese law, Misumi could get the death penalty if he killed the man for money, but the legal system is more lenient for other motives. As Shigemori and his team digs into the truth of the case, it’s clear this killing isn’t as open-and-shut as it seems…
The Third Murder is UNRATED, in Japanese with English subtitles, and runs for two hours, 4 minutes.
