Klamath County Library screening The Captain at Foreign Film Night
Tuesday, February 12th 5:30pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
The downtown Klamath County Library will screen the German WWII drama The Captain on Tuesday, February 12th at 5:30 pm.
The Captain is inspired by the horrifying true story of WWII war criminal Willi Herold, who, while deserting the German army at the end of the war, comes across an abandoned uniform of a Nazi Luftwaffe captain. Donning the uniform, Herold discovers other aimless German soldiers who will follow whoever is in charge – or in this case, whoever’s claiming to be in charge. Within just a few weeks, Herold and his followers commit atrocities against German army deserters and civilians alike…
The Captain is UNRATED, in German with English subtitles, and runs for one hour, 58 minutes.
