Go behind the scenes with Bill Nye: Science Guy at the downtown Klamath County Library

Sunday, April 8th 2pm
Downtown Klamath County Library

Join us for a screening and discussion of the documentary Bill Nye: Science Guy at the downtown Klamath County Library on Sunday, April 8th at 2 pm – more than a week before the program airs nationwide on PBS as part of the network’s POV documentary series.

The film takes you behind the scenes with celebrity scientist Bill Nye – a household name to 90s kids who grew up watching the Emmy-winning “Bill Nye the Science Guy” – as he advocates for science education and research, particularly where space exploration, evolution and climate science are concerned. As the head of the space nonprofit The Planetary Society, Nye is also overseeing the launch of LightSail, a satellite driven by sunlight, fulfilling a vision by his astronomy professor, the legendary astrophysicist Carl Sagan. The film also features contributions from Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ann Druyan and more.

Bill Nye: Science Guy is unrated and runs for 90 minutes.
