Get swanky at the Klamath County Library’s After-Hours Summer Prom!
Friday, July 26th 6pm
Downtown Klamath County Library
The Klamath County Library’s latest after-hours event for teens is a masquerade Summer Prom! Join Friday, July 26th at 6 pm for an evening of swanky clothes and your best dance moves.
This event is in partnership with the Youth Rising Drop-In Center, 729 Main Street, and they’re hosting three events to help you get ready for the big night:
A series of drop-in mask-making workshops at Youth Rising on Tuesday, July 23rd, Wednesday, July 24th and Thursday, July 25th at 4 pm;
A Spa Day at Youth Rising on Thursday, July 25th at 3 pm to get spiffed up;
And a dress-up session at Youth Rising on Friday, July 26th at 4pm to get ready for the big night. (You don’t have to bring your own formalwear! We’ll have lots of fancy duds to share.)
Want to help us make this the best after-hours event yet? We need volunteers ages 12-18 to join our Planning Committee! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application, or grab one at the downtown library’s Youth Services desk. You can also download one at the library’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/KlamathCountyLibrary. The Planning Committee will meet on Tuesday, July 2nd at 2 pm to brainstorm activities and prep for décor-making.
Space is limited – please RSVP for the Summer Prom by visiting the downtown library’s Youth Services desk or by calling 541-882-8894. For more about Youth Rising or for more information about the events they're hosting, call them at 541-851-1112 or visit their website at www.youth-rising.com.
