Jackson County Genealogical Library field trip: Saturday, May 12th 8:30 am
Downtown Klamath County Library
Each month, the Klamath Basin Genealogical Society hosts an informal workshop about useful tools for amateur genealogists at the downtown Klamath County Library – but this time around, the group is doing something a bit different.
This month, the Society is taking a field trip to the Jackson County Genealogical Library! The group will meet up in the downtown Klamath County Library’s parking lot on Klamath Avenue at 8:30 am on Saturday, May 12th and carpool from there. (If you’re a Society member, the group will provide the $5 entrance fee to the genealogical library for you; if you’re not a member yet, you’ll need to bring your own fee.) Because of this special trip, the Society won’t be having its usual monthly workshop in May.
The Klamath Basin Genealogical Society also maintains a DNA interest group that meets on the first Thursday of each month to discuss how the results from mail-away DNA tests can augment genealogy research. Their next meeting is Thursday, May 3rd at 6 pm at the downtown Klamath County Library.
