WHEN: Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Members of the community are invited.
WHERE: Mt. Mazama, College Union, Oregon Tech, 3201 Campus Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601
WHAT: A panel of judges will listen to business pitches on Wednesday, March 8th at the annual Shark Tech Venture Pitch Event as part of the first round of competitions for Catalyze Klamath Falls Challenge teams. Teams in the challenge have been receiving coaching and technical assistance since the registration deadline in January and are now ready to compete in the Shark Tech pitch session. The panel of judges listen to business pitches and help prepare teams for the final competition to take place on May 18, 2017. Teams this year cover projects such as 3D scanning, tiny houses, wind tunnels, pool vacuums, solar beehives, and more.
Oregon Tech’s Catalyze Klamath Falls Challenge has been a huge success for student competitors and the Klamath community. Over the past two years, 10 student/alumni teams have competed for over $20,000 in prize money that was generously donated by Representative Whitsett, Senator Whitsett, Klamath County, City of Klamath Falls, KCEDA, Avista, the Gaucho Collective, the Herald & News, Klamath IDEA, Oregon BEST, and Black Canyon Woodworks.
DETAILS: Attendance at this event is free and open to the public. For further information, contact Mark Ahalt at email@example.com.
