Basin Nonprofits Sponsor Grant Writing Workshop

On Friday, December 1st, the Klamath County Library Foundation, Klamath Community Foundation, and the Oregon Community Foundation will host a grant-writing seminar to help area nonprofits better seek grant funding.

Featuring grant-writer Rebecca Tatum, Ph.D., the Philanthropic Quest workshops are aimed at increasing the number of successful grant proposals prepared in the Klamath Basin. The workshop is intended for nonprofits applying for grants in the first quarter of 2018. A morning session (8 am – noon) and an afternoon session (1 pm – 5 pm) will take place on Friday, December 1st, at the Main Klamath County Public Library, 126 S 3rd Street, Klamath Falls. A networking lunch will be provided for all participants between sessions at 12:15 pm.

Participants in this three-hour grant-writing workshop should bring proposals that they are currently working on and preparing for submission in the first quarter of 2018. Participants will receive expert advice and consultation from Tatum on their grant proposals.

Rebecca Tatum’s 15-years of grant writing has yielded over $10 million through U.S. corporations, private and family foundations, individual, national and international funders, including the National Institutes of Health, Department of Education, and others.

Registration for the training is required and each session is limited to 12 participants. To include as many nonprofits as possible, each organization may register just two participants.  Registration deadline is Monday, November 27th. There is a $35 registration fee payable with cash or by check, to Klamath Community Foundation. To register, please contact Heidi Neel Biggs by email:
