20 Civil Engineering Programs Compete April 6-7 at Oregon Tech

 

WHEN:           Friday, April 6th 8 a.m to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 7th 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open to the public.

 

WHERE:         Oregon Tech, 3201 Campus Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601

Moore Park, 740 Lakeshore Drive, Klamath Falls, OR 97601

 

WHAT:           The public is invited to attend events at the 2018 Pacific Northwest American Society of Civil Engineers Student conference on Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th.

 

                        This event annually brings together students from 20 civil engineering programs across the Pacific Northwest to compete in a variety of competitions, most popular are the steel bridge competition and concrete canoe races. This year’s competition is hosted by Oregon Tech.

 

The public can come to view the following events on Friday 4/6:

  • Steel Bridge Competition construction and load testing
    • Danny Miles Court, Oregon Tech gymnasium
    • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Concrete Canoe Competition displays
    • College Union west walkway, Oregon Tech campus
    • 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

On Saturday 4/7:

  • Concrete Canoe Competition races
    • Moore Park (marina side)
    • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
