Klamath and Lake Counties: Broadband Access Strategic Plan

Broadband internet provides a community access to global markets, healthcare and educational opportunities, knowledge, entertainment, and commerce.  More and more of our daily lives move online every minute.    The need for broadband as a competitive advantage grows and this strategic planning effort is a first step toward guiding development of ubiquitous access for all corners of the County.

Air Service Partnership Marketing Plan

Commercial air service is an important part of any community development efforts.  Klamath County has been challenged with maintaining commercial air service in the past and new challenges face the community again.  The partnership has worked closely with both airport management and Sky West Airlines to retain and work towards growing available service at (newly renamed) Crater Lake-Klamath Regional Airport.  A recent grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation allows for the development and implementation of a marketing effort to build on Klamath’s attractions and position the airport as a major gateway to Crater Lake and everything else the County has to offer.

Klamath IDEA Business Incubator and Accelerator

Klamath IDEA (Inspire Development – Energize Acceleration) will focus local, regional, and statewide resources on the creation of a business incubator and accelerator in Klamath County.  The IDEA will promote, support, consult, and provide business and marketing advice to local entrepreneurs in the development of start-up and business expansion opportunities in Klamath County.
